Current Hair Care Routine

During pregnancy my hair changed a lot, some days I felt like it was for the worse and some days I felt like it was for the better. That was probably a combination of truth and my hormones running crazy lol. I have always had a lot of hair, it's not super thick, but actual individual strands, there are a lot of, if that makes sense. (I always feel bad when hairdresser has to do a full foil because I feel like we're there FOREVER.)

So I wanted to share my hair care routine with all of you in hopes it will help! Some of the items are currently on sale too, or can be order on Amazon with PRIME shipping! If you just hover over the pictures I provided of each item you can easily click them to be brought to the website for purchase.

1. Shampoo & Conditioner// AMIKA Bust Your Brass--I was actually using Living Proof before I switched to this combination ( which I love) I'm not sure if Living Proof changed their formula, but I started to realize it was leaving a very weird film on my hair, no matter how hard I scrubbed. At first I thought it was from pregnancy hormones, but as soon as I changed products my hair went back to normal. If you don't have blonde hair, no worries I got you covered! I used to be brunette and my go to was THIS shampoo and THIS conditioner.

2. Hair Mask// AMIKA Nourishing Mask-- Once a week I use this in shower mask to hydrate my hair. What I like about it is you use it right in the shower, let it sit for 3-5 minutes, and rinse it out. My hair is so much softer after using this the past couple of weeks!

3. Hair Oil// Nume Argan Oil-- I have been using this for years and refuse to try anything different. It is the perfect weight and consistency to where it will not weigh you hair down. I just it just on the ends of my hair when it's damp.

4. Brush// Wet Brush-- I will never use a different brush! If your hair is always tangled after washing it then this is a must for you. It will glide right through your hair without causing damage.

5. Blow Dryer// T3 Featherweight 2--Obsessed is an understatement with this hairdryer. I dread blow drying my hair, especially while pregnant, but this blow dryer cuts my time in half and is very light weight which is so nice. It is pricey, but I promise it is worth the money.

6. Straightener// CHI Original 1"--I have had this straightener for maybe four years now and its still going strong! Like I said before I have a lot of hair and I can usually straighten my hair within 15 minutes with this. It's currently on sale for less than $60 (originally $100) and you can use PRIME for shipping.

7. Curling Iron// NuMe Classic Curling Wand-- Along with my straightener I have had this curling wand for a few years as well. I don't know about you, but I have a hard time with wands that have clips, I feel like my curls never come out the right way! This wand is so easy to use, I highly recommend it.

8. Dry Shampoo// It took me a long time to find a dry shampoo I liked. I either didn't like the smell of them or the texture it left in my hair. This one is light weight, but not too much to where it doesn't do what it's supposed to. If you have darker hair I heard THIS dry shampoo is amazing, and doesn't leave the white powdery residue.

9. Finishing Hair Spray// Redken Quick Dry-- This hairspray is perfect if you're looking for a spray that's light weight, but will keep your style in place! There's nothing worse than crunchy, crispy hair. I use this for fly aways and to keep my curls to hold all day.

10. Hair Ties// Invisibobbles-- These hearties are perfect!! I promise once you start using them, you will never go back to an "original" elastic. It holds all of my hair all day and DOESN'T leave a crease. That's right!!!! It won't leave that ugly bump in your hair.
